No 4 wheel drive
I went out to plow my driveway a couple days ago and locked the hubs [warn manual 1 1/2 years old] flipped the switch and nothing. It did try popping in a couple times while moving, like a servo pushed the gears together for a moment and then released causing the truck to lurch forward as 4X4 worked momentarily then released.
Were do I start ?

Start at the top and work down- switch- sounds like yours is ok, look at all the fuses- again sounds like yours is ok, check the 2 relays under the hood- could be it, look for corrosion, and loose. Try to put in in 4wd and swap them, see if its a bad relay or whatever. Then the Motor- could be it as well- they just die...I just went though all this on mine, and it was the 4x4 Module AND the Motor...

found why my 4x4 wasn't working today. the dash light wasn't even coming on. went under the ex and found that the plug towards top of transfer case was not pushed in all the way. pulled it all way off then all the way back on and now works
