To make it shift like that you'll need to remove the synchros AND replace all of the gears with straight cut gears. The gears in there now are helical cut. They are not going to ever shift like the 10 speed you're used to without changing the gears.
Nobody makes straight cut gears for this trans, so you will need to design them and have prototype gears cut. When we had this done at Ford we would usually spend close to $1 million to get a prototype set designed and made. Maybe you could get it done for less.
