I'm looking at some NOS fuel sending units, and they don't say in the ebay listing if it's for the front or rear tank. I want to eventually replace both of them with NOS units, so if someone could be so kind as to list what those numbers are? Here's the part number for the NOS one I'm looking at, thanks.

Here's the part number for the NOS one I'm looking at, thanks. D8TZ-9275-B
This sending unit is for a 1978/79 Bronco w/a 25 gallon fuel tank.
Thanks NumberDummy. I should have been more specific. It's for a 78 F250 Supercab 4x4 with a 400 and dual tanks. No EEC or vapor return lines. It's the 16 gallon front tank, and the 19 gallon rear tank.

1974/79 F100/350 Super Cab.
------------------------------------ D7TZ-9275-D (replaced D3TZ-9275-A) .. Aft-Axle Fuel Tank Sending Unit-Use with steel fuel tank / Marked D3TF-9275-AA or D7TF-9275-DA / Obsolete
1973/79 F100/250 / 1974/79 F350 except Super Camper/Trailer Special on the 140" wheelbase.
Thanks! This will help greatly in my search! I don't know what we'd do without you. Both of the tanks are steel, will that make a difference in which ones to use?

I gave you the part and ID engineering numbers for both senders...which are the only ones for your application.
Resurrecting this old post. I bought from ebay what I thought was D7TZ-9275-D according to the ebay listing. What I received was D7TF-9275-DA. Will this sending unit still work for my original application 1978 F250 Supercab 400 4x4 dual tanks, or do I need to send it back and look for the correct one? Thanks guys.
Disregard this post. I re-read through the posts that Number Dummy made, and answered my own question. I was just confused when I received the part in the mail. Thought I'd have to return it. Thanks again.

Reason: Reread through posts. That answered my question. It will work. Please delete
It's the same part!! The D7TF-9275-DA is the mfg engineering number (production part number). D7TZ-9275-D is the ford service number.

Looking to HiJack this thread in the hopes of an answer.
Just pulled the Aux Tank from my SuperCab and removed the sending unit D4TF-9275-AA so I could rinse it out better before it gets repaired at the radiator shop (hopefully).
Arm on the sending unit is pretty rusted up but the float looks ok. Filter is busted up bad though and looks as though rust has built up underneath it and pushed the mess screen away.
Looking to replace it or refurbish if I can but having a dog of a time finding a new one.
Anyone had any luck? Are there any other sending units that would work in place of this one? I read through the above and seen they were replaced with D7TZ-9275-C but am also having problems locating one of those as well?
Looked through LMC and Dennis Carpenter etc. but the side mount tank sending units they have seem to hinge front to back whereas the one I removed seems to go side to side (of the truck).
Any help appreciated as always.
And does anyone know if this would work as an alternative?
I know it's the wrong number and all, but I'm thinking the only difference would be the pickup would be front to back instead of side to side and likewise with the float? Still have the tank in the garage, so will measure the depth and see if the clearances would work for this one.

So got my tank back from the radiator shop today and I'm happy with the repairs that have been made. Not the prettiest, BUT they pass the pressure test and the tank has been resealed so should be good to go.
Just need some info on the sending unit marked D4TF 9275AA. I've given up trying to find this one online new or used. Can't seem to find one anywhere. Obsolete Reliable don't seem to have one and neither does the Sending Unit repair guy in NY. SO, info I'm hoping someone can give me is; how long is the suction tube from the bottom of the level gauge assembly (attached to the tube where the float arm goes to) and how can I test if the float sender is good (i.e. test the output it will give to the gauge)? This is all off the truck right now and I'm hoping there's a way I can test it with a multimeter rather than trying to connect it back to the truck and then try it out.
If someone can get me that info, it would be greatly appreciated!

In post #9, you said the filter is busted up bad...
The filter screen, the float and gasket were available separately.
