Howdy,

I don't think I'd use anything but the OEM RACOR (or FOMOCO rebranded Racor) on a 6.0L engine!

Too many bad things happen with a "defective" oil filter or cap!!

I just got a bunch of oil, fuel, air etc filters from these guys.

Ford 6.0 Liter Turbo Diesel Truck Filters, Air Filters, Oil Filters, Transmission Filters And Glow Plugs - Diesel Filters,Additives, brake rotors, and brake pads for Chevy, Dodge and Ford Diesel Trucks

Get enough of the RACOR filters and you're set for quite a long time!

$250 or more spent and the shipping is included.

Dump the fram. Oem filters only. Make sure you have an oem cap as well. Aftermarket filters will not fit oem caps or visa versa.

Fram CH 9549 used to be repackaged Racors. I still have a few of them. It appears in the last year or two they have decided to go it on their own and need an adapter to get around patents. I would not use them or any other filter with an adapter or different cap. Stick with Motorcraft or Racor.

Yes, i will not run this filter. Motorcraft will be here Monday morning. The factory cap has all ways been on the truck.

Looks like the CH 9549 is no longer a repackaged Racor
