If you are getting your batteries in Canada you are getting different then we get here in say Texas, Florida, California. Yours would be fine here in the hot climates, however, lets reverse that and take a battery from the hotter climate to Canada and it won't last.
For me, being in both cold and hot climates throughout the year has taught me a valuable lesson on which batteries to use and unfortunately I started with the ones for the hotter climate.

I finally got a chance to get them load tested today. My passenger side battery is done. Guy told me they were out of stock and he'd have me one tomorrow. I told him make it two, I got a "not a problem". So tomorrow I'll have 2 new batteries. I find it sad they didn't even make it a year I bought them 3-28-13 and I'd say the one has been junk for at least two months now.
John, there are a couple of things you can do that might change your luck on batteries. Buy a maintenance type charger and permanently install the pigtail in your truck-they are very small and automatically shut off when the batteries are charged. The charger does not have to mount in the truck. This will extend the life of any battery. It is inconvenient to unplug, but if a vehicle is not run every other day the batteries do start to sulfate when not kept charged.
Also, there is some question about the quality of different brands of batteries. Some companies are better at marketing than manufacturing. You can Google Deka brand batteries as possible substitute brand. I have had good luck with them and they have an excellent maintenance charger as well.
If you have an excess draw on the batteries while the truck is off, no battery will withstand that unless you have a charger connected to make up for that excess load. Good luck. Larry
