Yeah cool right? Seems like a lot of people already have at least one fumoto installed already so either use that or get a nipple and you're done. Seems lime we're all doing it backwards feeding the filter from the top of the block.
Agreed, I'm pulling coolant from before the heater control, my filter is in front of the main batteries, that's 6' of hose ( running down the fender) then it goes in front of the radiator and by the air cleaner to under the Degas Bottle ( that's 8' of hose). Geez I wish you would have thought of this sooner. If I ever get a leak I know what I'm doing. Pluses there's lots of room down there to mount it. Good thinking
OK Thanks .The filter is to catch sand .
The ones on 855 Cummins and other wet sleeved engines have a tablet in them to ad anticorrosion back into the system . That is not needed on the 6.0 ?
Also if you guys could reframe from using abbreviations to describe the electric / computer parts or maybe type what it is one time. I would appreciate it . I am used of dealing with manual pump and injector lingo . I am very low tech.
Thanks mine is a 03 with 117000 miles .

It's not so much the truck but the ELC coolant that doesn't require the additives. Ford does sell a additive for the Gold coolant to freshen it up but it comes in a bottle being the trucks didn't come with a filter from the factory. Because the coolant system is so important on a 6.0, I think if the coolant is "dying" it's time for a flush and fresh coolant.
Those abbreviations can be a booger, here's a good complete list, couple years in and I still refer to it every once in a awhile.
