I have a 1963 Ford F100 unibody with a 77 351 Windsor in it. My plan is to tweak the engine a little bit cam carburetor intake manifold heads and headers. But budget restraints being what they are I can't afford to do all this at once. So I'm looking for information on headers I can bolt to the existing two valve heads and then when the time is right and I get the new heads transfer them over. Anybody have any suggestions? Will there be fitment issues with long tub headers?
If it ain't broke don't fix it. Research and develop your plan for the truck you want. Save your money and then do the engine and headers at the same time. If I was planning to install new heads I'd wait and do the camshaft, intake and carburetor then. I'd also go through the bottom end of your engine while its down for upper engine work. Headers will likely require some fabrication (this is where the research comes in). Have at it and keep us posted.
I got it with no exhaust at all. just the exhaust manifold. so i have to do something to get it inspected and registered. I was hoping to kill two birds with one stone so to speak.
