UPDATE..UPDATE I think they may be monitoring this site. The adjuster just called and said they are absolutely going to call it a total loss. So, now I can go truck shopping. Don 't know when I'll get a dollar offer but it sounded like it wouldn't be too long. At least I can buy a truck now and make some plans.
Well that sucks, for 15000 I'd be fixing it, did you explain the add ons you want reimbursement for. I'd have my wife all over that noise. Well you know there's always a low key person and high key in each marriage, my wife would have that adjuster on quaaludes by now.
Yeah, I'm guessing the adjuster didn't believe it could be fixed for that. As hard as it was hit there's no telling what might be damaged. I provided a detailed list of after market items and their replacement costs. And of course the two major upgrades in 2013. I'm not gonna complain until I see their offer. If we can't reach agreement I guess it's law suit time. I'm sure not going to eat a loss because I happened to be sitting there when their policy holder decided to get drunk and pass out at 40 MPH. Truth is, had I not been sitting there she would have crossed 4 or 6 lanes of moving traffic. I think they are getting a bargain compared to what could have been.
Good luck, with all you have on it, keep pressing them until you are satisfied. And you are correct, they are coming out to the good compared to what could've happened. Not just with her hitting others, but injuries to you as well. You came out to the good on that one! Stay after 'em!
