Sorry man, truck took a real pounding there. Real question though is how are you, besides the shock of course?
Hopefully you and anyone with you is ok.
Sorry, I should have mentioned above. We both seem to be OK. They released us from the hospital with some prescriptions. I'm sore but nothing seems broken. Wife was driving. I'm glad we were in that dooly, she hit us hard. Didn't even leave a skid mark. one witness said she was passed out before she hit us. Looked pretty old, may have had some medical problem. Had we been in a car I think it would have been ugly.
Man! I am glad to hear that you and your wife are ok first of all. Second I am sorry about the truck, I see you have put a lot of time and effort into making it right. If they do total it, I hope you can take what you can off it and either move it to nice 6.7L Diesel! On a serious note, please keep us posted of how everything turns out and if you need any help let us know.
glad you and the misses are ok. Truck can be replaced/repaired. Looks to me like a bed, tailgate, bumper and receiver at least.
Looks like the frame may need some work too.
Hope it isn't totaled.
Yeah. If it's total I'm gonna be out a lot of money. No way I get out what I put in the engine and tranny last year. I'm going to take a good look in the morning. If the frame isn't bent it may be savable, but then I have a major hit on carfax. Oh well, I was planning on keeping it for a while anyway.
If she's totaled, you should be able to get nearly every penny you've put into that truck in the past year.
My father in law was just rear ended in his 1992 Dodge Van with 400,000 miles. Blue book was $300. He was given a check for $3500+ just for the van because he had receipts for new tranny and tires. Truck wasn't even totaled. He actually kept the truck.
I'm glad YOU GUYS are okay. How is the person that hit you guys? What was he/she driving? Better question is DO I WANT TO KNOW? Judging by the amount of damage to your truck, you guys had to have been hit HARD.

Definitely. I'll bet she was doing at least 40-45. I saw a 2010 DRW get hit at about 25-30 and wasn't half that damage. I've been rear ended at 15-20 and it bent the bumper.
