I went to the Auto Swap meet today. A vendor had new chrome columns, tilt, in the box, for $250. I was leery to say the least. The parts alone to rebuild mine are running $130--$140.
It would of meant using a U joint coupler instead of the rag joint oem connection, and having to go to the j/y and getting a GM electrical plug and running my wires through that, but easy enough.
When I asked the guy if there were bearings or busings inside he said had never had one apart, and that was when I got very skeptical. I'm sure on the box I would of found the 'buyer beware' warning that states: Made in China.
