Headers for a 1991 F-150 XLT Supercab - 5.0L EFI

I'm considering putting a set of headers on my truck, but have gotten differing information from several parts stores about which ones to use. For example, I've had the following recommended: Hedman #89350 and #89470; Dynomax #85054; Flowright (not sure about spelling) #12502FLT; and Hooker #6907. However, when I visit different websites for these models, I get conflicting information about their application to my truck. I will only be using the truck for regular street use and plan no engine mods. Anyone got any insight on this, or other comments about header fit-up on this truck, or possible potential problems? Thanks.

The best bolt on, economical, and decent performance header is the summit shorty truck header. It is a direct bolt on where some of the other headers need exhaust work to be done. If your doing a complete exhaust job then possibly a set of headers made for a mustang would be the best choice (much more choices to go with!).

I will second the summit truck header recomendation. I have had them on my 92 302 for about a year with zero problems and they bolted right up to the factory exhaust. Just be sure to re-tighten them after about a week.
