Some people are faster than others. Some need all the time and some loose time. Depends on the tech.
LOL thats true, my cousin works at a local GM dealer and i stop and bull with him on occasion and theres two other mechanics and i seen how long it takes them just to unbolt the four tires, at their speed it would take five days to rotate four tires and do a rotor and pad job.....
I was working at a dodge gmc dealer in the late 90s and dodge was having an issue with 5th gear on the nv4500s pushing the nut that holds it on off the output shaft threads. They made an updated nut for it and it was an easy fix relatively speaking, just drop the driveshaft and remove the tails haft housing. Well every one of the 12 point bolts that hold the housing on rounded off. I was getting half book time because it was warranty and it took me twice as long as to do it because I had to drill out all the tails haft housing bolts.
