Not anything I am worried about.
But. when starting cold or warm.
Sometimes it will start fast like a gas engine. You
know turn the key and BAM it's started
and other times it will take a few revolutions.
When I say a few I don't mean you there cranking for
a long time. Just a bit longer.
One time about the first part of January I went to start my truck (it was cold) and the first time I tried it the engine cranked over MUCH longer than ever before...and didn't start, I stopped cranking and waited about five seconds then retried and it fired right up like always. That is the one and only time it has ever done this. it usually is running within a second or two at the most. The moral of my story is I believe with the electronics on these engines, and all engines today for that matter are like anything electronic, they are prone to glitches. If I hadn't tried to start my truck that second time but instead started my futile search for the answer to that 'elusive question' why didn't my truck fire the first time? I have to wonder how much it would have ending up costing me for a non-problem, and if no matter how much I spent , would have ever found anything? What causes these things to occur Is any ones guess but rest assured you are not alone.
