Rear crew cab lock actuators

OK I'm new to posting here so if its in the wrong spot I apologize. I have a 97 f350 with the typical bad rear lock actuators, I didn't want to spend the big bucks for the factory ones so I ordered fox body mustang ones cause they looked the same. Dorman part number 746-147 my jobber cost was $34, they come as a multi-fit application. All you need to do is cut your factory rod off the original actuator (there is even a factory recess where you cut it) and use a 5/64 drill bit to drill a hole through your rod and attach it with the roll pin that comes with the new actuator. It mounts exactly the same as original and even comes with the bracket attached to it. This whole project was done in under and hour and that includes getting all the tools out and removing the door panel. Yes it also plugs right in to the factory harness.

I have never posted pics before so when i do the passenger side tomorrow I will try to do a write up and post pics. Once you get the old one out and put it side by side with the new one it will be self explanatory tho. This is a super easy mod and cheap also. Hope some people get some use out of this.

Thanks! My crew cab rear lock actuators work, but the passenger side squeals something awful. I've just been living with it rather than pay (over $300!) for a replacement. I'm looking forward to more details!
