Power lock actuator. $
I found that the power lock actuators in the rear of my crew cab are different than the ones that everyone is repairing and do not appear to be fixable. They are a little barrel/screw type that doesn't look like it can be opened without major damage.
Ford wants over $150.00 each. Anybody have a better source?
Thanks

Take it apart and see if you can design your own mod or try the junkyard. E-bay sometimes has everything.

It is a cylindrical deal with a swaged end, I don't think it is salvageable.
$150 each is outrageous so I am looking for options.

As luck would have it, none of the aftermarker places that I can find have one for this model, imagine that.
Maybe that's why they are $150.

It depends on how determined you are ,, they can be taken apart......Do yours have rivets holding the two halves together?...

No rivets.
This is not like the models that people are talking about repairing on this forum. Not that I have seem anyway.
This thing looks like a capacitor.

Is it sort of round, with a rubber accordian looking boot on the top , with a 1/8 rod sticking out of the boot with a hook or a loop on the end of the rod?.....Rick....

Precisely.
The bottom where the electrical connection is has been crimped, it appears.

The outside is metal, not plastic.

Did you check Thepowerstrokeshop.com for a price? What about LMC Truck?

Seems like the front actuator can be found but nobody can tell me if the front and rear door actuators are the same.
Anyone have a link to a Ford sight that I could compare the two part numbers on?
Thanks
