I just left my truck with a mechanic yesterday to have erg delete done and oil cooler . he did that and told me oil cooler and egr cooler were cloged. Well while he did that he found my y pipe cracked had to repalce that and a oil return valve cracked and repalced that. Put it back toghter and tuned it. He drove it down the street and back and then wouldnt start . Is that normal for something like that to go out after the work is done.
But aside from that this mechanic is a hell of a guy . he repaired what he found instead of put ing it back together and making it a differnet repair.

Im just wondering about the IPR thogh
Ipr can easily get damaged screen after a job like that if the mechanic was not very careful in keeping everything very clean when he had it all torn apart.
so you believe it could be on him then. I mean i hate to be an *** about it when he did so much already but i didnt have any issues of starting when i brought it in till after the work was done
SO i hope he will work with me on this deal . he has been very fair on everything else
It happened to me. Benny, you may remember the pic I posted of how clean everything was when I put mine back together, and it still pushed in the IPR screen after just a little bit of driving. I did find some tiny little ***** that looked like solder, after thinking about it a bit I decided they MAY have come from inside the new oil cooler (from the manufacturing process). Just a thought.
Anyway, your possible IPR issue can be likely be verified by your mechanic by reading the IPR signal - it will be high (ICP will be low). And it's possible just a new screen could fix it. Lots of if's and maybe's in that statement but trying to be optimistic .
Good luck!

Now you mention it I remember Its a Great thought!!
I also remember you had the engine Clean enough to Eat Thanksgiving Dinner off of LOL
IDK for sure but I thought the oil cooler was Pressed together by the way the outer edges look. I looked in the pics I have of my cooler cut apart and I couldn't see a spot where it was soldered. BUT I did NOT have enough pics to verify it either
Just pull the ipr clean it and replace the screen if necessary. I have always been able to clean mine. Usually something lodges it open and it can't build enough pressure.
