need an answer please!!!

i jus got my truck back from the dealership cause it wouldnt start...well they replaced the hpop and inj. reg. well the next i was driving to work and it just truned off on me again....well it started right back up...so i took it back to the dealership and they checked the dip stick and there was no oil(reason for it turning off)well i looked at the degas bottle and seen t over flowing....i just put a new oil cooler and egr cooler and it just got new heads about 6 months ago...well my question is there any way they could have messed thing up to cause it to do this again cause they are trying to same its my fault for putting the oil cooler in myself....it never lose oil till i took it to them .......sorry for the long story.....

Did you put the oil cooler in before or after they replaced the HPOP? If after, I don't see how you're going to be able to hold them responsible for it since the new cooler was apparently defective. If before, they should have seen the bad oil cooler (assuming it was bad at that point) when they installed the new HPOP. Either way it doesn't look good unless you can somehow prove they are responsible for the leaking oil cooler.

Like Bowtiehatr said, they should give you another oil cooler if you kept the receipt (or maybe even if you didn't keep it).

There is nothing that they would have done to the oil cooler if they replaced the hpop and ipr.

FWIW, the engine would have to be about 7-8 quarts low of oil to cause it to quit running. That is a lot of oil to lose out of the resevoir.

The part should still be warrantied, even though you installed it yourself.

The turbo fart issue can usually be repaired by cleaning the vanes and unison ring. Sometimes, the VGT solenoid will cause this issue.

Oh, that would be different. It sounds like you may have gotten taken.

Is the coolant/oil really clumpy? If it is really bad, that may be why the dealership told you that you need an engine. It can be nearly impossible to flush all of that stuff out of the engine, radiator, heater core, egr cooler, etc...

The oil cooler that you put in could have been bad. Not saying that it was but do you know that it wasn't ?

Also I just had the engine replaced because of a bad oil cooler so that's not far fetched for the dealer to say that.
