Hey guys, haven't been on this site in a long time. I know this OT, but I just bought a 1931 model a coupe. This site has been extremely helpful to me and I'd just like to thank everyone. I was wondering if anyone knows of a site as good as FTE ( the people make it great) for restoring / modifying a model a. Thanks, I might sell Whitey, I haven't decided. Thanks in advance.
The guys at 47 and older at FTE are a good group of guys there's not a lot of guys in there so there's slow to respond but very helpful. I have a 31 AA ford. I know a group of guys locally that would be very helpful with any questions you might have. I will try to help in anyway I can
This is the only one I know. Not being heavily into A's, I can't say I've spent any time there, but there's a lot of guys here that hang out at the 'Barn, too, for various other things. It's worth a try.
I would think the early ford V8 club website and ford barn might be helpful. I am pretty sure there are some model A forums. My interest and cars stop at 38 so not quite that old of cars.
Good luck. I have had several T's and A's over the years and the A's are simple and relative cheap to own and operate and fun to drive. Original or street rodded they still get attention.

Theres a few other sites around but none
That come anywhere close to being as good as it is here! If your going stock the fordbarn is a good place. If your hotrodding it the hamb maybe, if its a street rod or rat rod then ask the fellows on the hamb where to go...
That last one was a joke, dont say those words on the hamb unless your ready to see red. Haha.
Wow, Thanks for the advice. I promise I will post pics, I going to pick it up on this Saturday. I heard HAMB is "difficult" and I'm a darksider, so I need advice setting up the chassis, modifying the frame, installing suspension. The body is in really good shape so it will go into storage till the chassis is done. Unless the site won't let me post pics of the coupe.

No worries on the pics. We'll get you a note from home. Besides, I thought the inmates were running this place, and we all voted yes.

That's a real beauty. Great work. Thanks for sharing.
I have a 29 Model A CCPU which I restored prior to purchasing my 51 F 1. Got lots of information and some good advice from The Ford Barn, Ahooga, and the Hamb. The Barn and Ahooga deal mostly with stock restorations, I think the Hamb would be helpful.
Many moons ago, I use to hang around forums called "Club Hotrod". Seem to be a decent group of guys back then. Haven't been around there in a while. Very diverse group with a wide array of knowledge and experience. Cars and projects ranging from the 20s to the 80s and just about any and all modifications you may imagine. Might be a good place for a darksider. Might wanna check them out.
