I have a friend that gave me some parts for a 7.3 powerstroke. He gave me a turbo with a "x" pipe , I think it is called , a/c compressor , and an alternator. After looking at the turbo I noticed it looked different than the one in my 2001 7.3. On the "x" pipe there is not a spot to put an AIH. On the casing right before the v-clamp that goes to the "x"pipe there is a marking that says 1.10A/R Thanks for the help.
It's could also be early '99. The early '99s had no intake air heater, and a 1.10 A/R compressor housing with 4 bolts, with a 0.84 A/R turbine housing (unless it's a van turbo). The turbo pedestal is also lower on the early '99 than the 99.5 up. The A/C compressor should be the same. If you can post a couple of pictures, that would probably help nail it down.
I should have not said no EBPV. I do not have the pedestal. I took that comment out. My friend said he thought it came out of a 99 or 2000 truck. I figured the a/c compressor was the same. I put the clutch on my compressor since mine has fallen off. It works so far. So is there any use for the turbo for my truck ? I already bought a wicked wheel and intalled it in my truck before i got this extra turbo. I would take pictures. But , do not know how to up load them. Pikachu you are correct on the four bolts. Thank you.
