Hard to believe it sold for $17K.

 

Steve Moffat built it after it rolled on it's side when it had 1,500 miles on it. I almost bought it before it went to auction.

 

Here's one we rode in at the Outer Banks, seated 11 I think.

I'm not promoting them (haven't got a clue about them...just thought they looked interesting) but I saw this place a while back...they actually "make" Excursion convertibles...http://newportconvertible.com/ford-convertible/

 

Those guys that use those Ex's for horse tours don't go to great length's to make em look good that's for sure. I asked if they modded anything on them to take them through the sand he said all they did was air down the tires.

 

Wow.... that looks like something I could do in my driveway with an angle grinder (minus the paint work and the convertible top). From the looks of it all they do is chop the top and then make a nice power ragtop for it. Not knocking them, but just because you can...

 

Now that's a mod I can afford
