Saw this puddle under/behind the right rear tire yesterday. It's clear with a reddish hue. The leak emanates from one of the 3 lines that appear to connect to the rear A/C-Heater. What is it? What do I do about it? And how "critical" is it (i.e. on the list of upgrades I want/need to do, how much a priority should I give this leak)? Thanks.
First pic: showing the puddle.
Pic showing the leak. Note the leak appears to come from the bottom (forward-most) line. You can see the drip at the zip tie on the left.
Any smell to the fluid? Any dampness on the carpet inside? could have a leak of condensation from rear heater/ac? I had my problem while running AC unit. however, some condensers work even with heater, though not sure about Ex.
It's been a couple of years, but I removed the inside panel when my carpet began to feel damp and discovered that the cork/tar tape was allowing the condensing hose to leak into the compartement. re-sealed the condensing fitting and it began draining correctly again -- my drain hose drips near the exhaust. hope this helps.
