Could barely feel a little air moving under the pump. STC fitting when I replaced it turning 6 times lined up perfectly with the branch tubes. I ordered a new pump with the fitting on there already and the stc fitting doesn't line up! It needs to come in a little. I'm guessing it comes reman with 5 turns. Still have my alignment tool is it Ok to turn it one more time or are the branch tubes ruined???

I've only replaced one of these, but I'm thinking there should be an o-ring under the pump and NO air at all from there. If it's sucking air there then I'm surprised it will even prime at all.....
Yea I couldn't tell if it was the pump o ring leaking or the air leaking back from the crank case. I'm pretty sure the pump was bad. Just trying to figure out how to get this branch tube set up and then I'll test the system again

I reread the thread and see that you replaced the o-ring but I'd be tempted to check it for damage while I still had it open. You might use the old "hose as a stethoscope" trick to be very specific about where the leak is loudest. A smoke test would be great too, but probably not possible.
