New problem, with codes

Coming back from NAPA just now, truck started to cut out. SES light on. Got it home and found P1316 and P0344 codes stored. Truck has an intermittent miss at idle now.

P0344 is CPS I believe. Not sure about the other one, but looks familiar. Is that the one that can be set when a chip is installed?

P1316 is IDM....I put my spare CPS in it and took it out for a run. Worked ok. My spare was the grey w/purple o ring...Are they still ok?

P1316 - IDM Injector Circuit (Injector Driver Module)
P0344 - CMP (Camshaft Position Sensor) Sensor Performance

Since you replaced it, and it improved, perhaps you have it repaired.

Hook a scope to it and you should see nice square top-end pulse frequency's.

The Grey one is better than the one that was in it.

I pulled a grey one out of it....Just drove it to my daughters ortho apt($$$) and it ran fine. I drove it like I stole it!

The 1316 means there is a code stored in the idm. You would have to do a buzz test to get it.

VC gaskets as well? You might look up top and see if it's all tight there, but I wouldn't pop any VCs yet. The IDM DTC code might have been lurking in the shadows from long ago, and the CPS SES pop made you find it. The IDM could be nothing more than a fail-to-sync some time back. Roll and watch, my friend.

Glad the CPS fixed it as when I read your original post I feared UVCH as well.

My mileage has improved greatly since the cps change but I still have an intermittent miss at idle once it warms up. Off idle, its fine. When I do a buzz test with AE will it give me the idm codes? Which is the best cps to run in these things now?

The black is the one to get, also as rare as rocking horse poop. Soooooo, after all the money I've spent on this I have to deal with a miss at idle? This is going to bug me to no end......
