Bottom front leaf on a V or X code

Has anybody used the bottom leaf from the factory front leaf to mod an V-code or X-code to gain a little more lift?
I know WE3ZS used the top overload spring from the rear B-codes on his X-codes.
Just wondering

Thanks

That is exactly what I did. I read about some of the modifications and the shop I took it to suggested using the leaf from the original pack. So mine is a 3 leaf pack and I think I am up to about 41 inches to the wheel lip moulding from the ground.

Good Luck.

My old front springs were way too saggy for me to even consider using anything from them.
I used the top overload from the B codes on my X codes like WE3ZS did and I like the end results

when I did the v-modded b code swap in my truck the front was a little low so we added the next leaf from the old rear springs to the front for a little more lift. Here is a picture with the extra leaf in the front with the new v codes

Thanks for the responses, one of the reasons i was asking is I've got some front springs (f250) and trying to find some rear springs and not all of those came with the top overload spring.
Wanted an alternative if I get some without.

The shop told me this was better than using the overload spring as this leaf is basically full length instead of half. Not a suspension expert so I don't know if this is correct or not.
