Do any members here have orginal springs on your X's, the reason that I am asking is that I have seen quite a few X's while I was shopping around for the one I have now and have seen them level, to sagging in the rear and such. My X is 2 inches higher in the rear than the front measureing with a tape and very apparent when parked on level ground. I have looked at a local X that has the rear a bit below the front and the spring code is different than mine, and doing a search around I can seem to fine the code that is stamped in the spring, what I have is RPN 2382 then 2C74 BA is this the orginal spring that came with the X? any info would be great
The Diesels are very heavy when compared to Gas engines and the front springs sag badly after a few years. I changed mine out for V codes.
I still have the old Front springs which are marked RPN2751 2034AJA.
I have not changed my rear springs yet (have RAS installed on stock springs) and my EX (with the front V codes installad) has about a 1.5 in higher rear end than the front.
If yours is "running down hill" , it;s likley becasue the front springs are sagging.

Just really getting a grasp on all this about the X's, all the numbers on front leafs from X's seem to mean nothing except for that vechile. I got the code for the leaf from the door sticker and it says CG, so I guess they are the orginals. Just curious about the suspension as people talk about the "wandering" which I have none or such a small amount that I relate it to road surfaces. I have found a person in my area that is selling the front and rear leafs off a F250 02 for 300.00 but can probably get for between 200-250, have no heavy towing and only had <60K on them. Guess I should pay him a visit
If the springs on the F250 are original (which I suspect) check the door sticker and that willl tell you what code they are.
Your looking for V, W, or X on the front end (incresing stiffness and lift) and B or F codes on the rear, Both of the rear srings codes will need to be modified (there is plenty of info oin the Forum as to how to do this).
PM me if you need help as I have collected significant info on the spring issues.
Your EX currently has C codes ont he front and G codes on the rear.
I guess the original spring's codes (or more accurately, the stamped numbers) are all over the place. My '05 XLT V10 original fronts are RPN0615 and 3C34AHA. The main thing to look at when considering if a swap is warranted is the amount of space between the front axle and the frame mounted bumpstop. I was down to 1.25" and thats not much travel for a 9000lb truck! I went with a modded X/B swap, much better ride and stance now. If you can get those '02 F-250 springs with 60k on then for $200-250 thats a pretty good deal.
