About a week ago it was really cold in IA, about -25, and one of my cooler lines came loose and I lost all my fluid, and I believe the trans burned up because after refilling it with fluid it slips really bad now.
I think Im going to just replace it with another one and not rebuild the one I have, my question is will any 87-96 E4OD from a 4x4 work for my application?

After your test drive was the oil at the same level during Ideal?
yeah, Ive actually driven it a 3 times now, and each time I check the fluid level hot while in "P" as directed, so Im confident it has the correct amount of fluid in it.
