Pulling the cab for engine work

So I am hearing that the easiest way to pull and work on the engine is to pull the cab. Are there any how-to's out there or do I have to just wing it? Thanks!

I don't know the answer but figured I'd ad a couple of cents. My ford dealer just did the ARP head studs for me. When I asked if they were lifting the cab off to work on the engine they said no. In their shop they only lift the cab on the pickup trucks not on the Excursion. Instead, they removed pretty much everything that is in the way (including heater core etc.) to get access to work on the heads. With this, I can only assume (but don't know) that lifting the Excursion cab is more work than leaving it on.

There is no cab like on a truck, it's the whole body. Much more involved, but has been done. You could possibly pull most of the front clip off, but that's about it without yanking the whole thing.
