Well that sucks I not a carb guy and dont really know how to rebuild them so guess I will go to Summitt and look at new ones. I'm already into this one for $150 really dont want to put anymore into this one if it is junk.

Just because it needs a rebuild doesn't mean its junk. Get a quality rebuild kit...that's my best advice. If you can make microwave popcorn, you can rebuild a carb. Just follow the instructions and take your time.
No real sense buying a new carb in your case. Honestly, you'll spend a lot less $$$ rebuilding your current carb. Google your carb model and look up rebuild kits and/or how to videos.

Your basic rebuild kit will be around $40 and your really serious upgrade kit will be around $80 or so...those are basic Holley rebuild kit prices. One is a basic rebuild and the other allows you to build/tune it to your needs and isn't that more advanced. Take a weekend and follow instructions and watch the 100million youtube videos on rebuilding a carb, check out the billion pics on google and you shouldn't ever need to come on FTE and ask a question. However, if it came down to it.....we can help you when you get stuck. Then you'll know more about your carb and how to tune it to get the most out of your motor. Later on down the road if you changed motors or cams you'd know what your doing...

Well I took everyones advice and got a rebuild kit and put it in the carb. I dont know what part was bad but it is working well now. It doesnt run rich anymore it has 19in vacum@650rpm. Went for a test drive and it works great. Thanks to everyone for the help!
