97 F250 Front Leveling Kit?
Is it worth putting a leveling kit on my truck? Isn't it essentially two inch blocks up front? I'm buying tires to put on my new wheels this weekend and was trying to decide to go with the 31" tires with the current set up or waiting another few weeks, installing the leveling kit, and putting 33" tires on it.
Thoughts?

Thank you for your response, the blocks were something I saw online and when I lifted my F150 I added blocks to the back but I was off base with the assumption. Guess again it proves what happens when you assume!
The truck is 4x4
What work did you put in?
I'm looking at putting 265x75r16 on the truck so roughly 31.7x10.43 by the calculations I have made and seen on various sites. I had a lifted truck with 35's I'm not interested in that anymore, I like as close to stock as possible my young kids couldn't get in/out of my old truck.

blkF250 thank you for the feedback I saw that picture in a post a few months ago and have actually choosen this size tire because of your post! My truck doesn't sit as high as yours does in front I can tell from the picture.
How do you like those Coopers? I was looking at some Definity Dakotas a/t2 which are Cooper tires.

I used Offroad Designs zero rates on my leaf sprung TTB. I ended up getting roughly 1.5" out of it and it still rides like a factory truck.
Add a Leafs, Zero Rate for 4x4 Suspensions from Offroad Design

That is an interesting design. I've decided however just to replace the leafs when I am replacing the shocks in the spring. Adding a leaf or a zero rate vs. just buying new to me isn't that much of a difference. I figure the leafs on there now lasted 16 years and 234,+++ miles they replacements will as well.

I've been told add a leafs work, ride stiffer, and theres always the possibility of needing center pivot drop brackets if it won't align. One other thought may be looking at some new springs for an earlier 80-85 f350 ttb, the springs may be stiffer than the later f250s, idk. They used the Dana 50, where as all f250s after 90 or 91 used the same axle.

Talk to Junior or Bob at ATS. They make a Xtra Lift leaf spring replacement that will allow you two inches of lift in the front. The re-arched springs run about $150 each. I just put them on my 95 F-250 with a added leaf in the rear of about 1 inch and am currently running 285 75R 16's BFG traction tires. Looks awesome and rides just like factory. Will be updating current pictures soon of before/after. The 285's are essentially the same as 33" x 9" tire.
