What is the the best leveling kit for ride and no rubbing with 37" tires on stock 20" wheels? Even if it is 1" higher in the back, anything that will be better than the factory rake?
I just ordered a wicked customs 4" kit. Talked to the owners and they assure me the ride is as good as stock so we will see! I'm gonna run factory 20s with 37s. They have a truck on their site with that same setup. Gotta put the bumper spacer kit on but it's simple to do. Wish me luck!
None of the leveling kits will clear 37"s with no rubbing at all with stock wheels. Check out Epics mod thread. He had to use a spacer and still has rubbing at full lock. He used the biggest spacer that I would ever use with hub centric wheels.
But most of the kits aren't complete yet and are just pieces of parts that will work for now. A lot of the respectable companies (Fabtech, BDS, readylift, etc) are still working on their kits. They have stuff that will work for the people that can't wait but most are predicting late January/early February for their complete kit.
I'm looking at either the BDS 2" or the readylift 2.5". If I got the ready lift I would probably want to raise the back 1" taller to keep a little rake for some towing purposes but I like the readylift company. The BDS is fine and it will probably be the way I go just so I don't have to raise the rear anymore than it already is. The readylift, as others have reported, is a near perfect level (rear is a little under 1/2" higher).
edit* the rubbing issue wasn't an issue with the height of the truck but rubbing on the frame due to the width. The only correction for that is different backspacing on wheels. Most people found IIRC +20 offset to have no rubbing with width.
Nice. I went with 4" as well just to get the back raised an extra 1". What tires and rims is he running? I want to go stock with 37s and wicked said they are golden

i don't think anything else is needed for clearing 37s
look up fontenots diesel performance on Facebook they have that kit on so many new 17s and running 37 with no rub nor a bumper spacers.
i have that kit and am running stop tires until i decide what tires i want.

3.5" without raising the rear will have the front way to high. I do agree that you probably would clear 37's with that height though without rubbing.

It does say requires bumper spacer though to fit 37" tires....
Mine does indeed look nose high. but i kinda like the look. but it sits exactly level if u measure from the wheel well to ground. the body lines do make it look nose high i can't argue that.
i might like this look and the next guy may not but it works for me.
