Need Help Finding overhead console map light lens

As far as I can tell, Expeditions, Excursions and Navigators all had this same part in them but for whatever reason it seems like it's next to impossible to find on its own - I don't want to buy a whole overhead console for one part.

Here is what I'm talking about:

I want to replace the lens and buttons, not just the missing button (which is somewhere inside my truck)

Is it Part #5 on this?
https://www.tascaparts.com/parts/200...agramCallOut=5

I can't find an individual part # - Is it because the overhead console was sold as a whole?

I saw a couple overhead consoles at a local wrecking yard recently. Not sure if the lenses/ buttons were there. If you have a large wrecking yard close by, I'd try them. They usually don't inventory that kind of stuff so it's a matter of physically walking the yard and looking for yourself.

FYI. I just put new bulbs in mine a few days ago and they are not working again already. Connections seem really temperamental. That funny ribbon connector is pretty flimsy. Mechanic says they get SUPER hot and he recommended LED bulbs and says he has some. I'll find out more in a couple days.

You magnificent baztard. I completely forgot about local salvage yards because they NEVER have Excursions around here. They do however have several Expeditions '98-'01 so I'm hoping they have lenses that will fit. If I can't get a new one this will be the next best thing - and cheaper.

Check the ford windstar mini vans as well. I bought a windstar console because they use the ribbon wire for the lights and it looks like the buttons and lenses are interchangeable. grabbed mine out of a 2003

You should go to the junk yard and look at the windstar console. It uses the same ribbon wire for the bulbs, I'm pretty sure that all the guts are the same. I spent $10 for the console and have a backup for mine.

Ok I found one out of a windstar at the first junk yard and very close to the house. They took out the entire light with the 2 flip downs the empty one for your garage remote and the sunglass holder one. All for 30 bucks save me from buying the entire unit used on ebay for 250.00 Thanks.
