overhead console repair

I repaired my overhead console today with advice from this forum. I got the broke off resistor back in place and the console displays what it should. However, it is quite dim. When I run through the modes several times, it brightens up to what it should be, then seems to dim for some reason, almost like the dimmer is being turned. And when I turn my lights on it gets even dimmer (supposed to). Is the LED portion going bad or what?

I can't find were you got instructions to repair the console in this forum, so I am not up on this procedure. Repairing the board itself sounds serious though.
