It will, and it will appear in the "message center" aka odometer/trip-odometer area. I have yet to encounter mine, as I change it at 5k and reset the OLM.
If you want a preview of what "percent" you have left on your oil, you can press the "setup" button twice to give you a view of the remaining oil life. Be sure to reset after an oil change by going to the same screen and holding the "reset" button.
