Study of various 5W-30 oils, see page 6 for cold viscosity comparisons. It's not just a small difference, it's a huge difference!

my wife's EB has been starting just fine. It has sat outside all day in -10 to -15 temps and fires right up without any extra noises. At night it sits in the garage and Mon morning it was -20 outside and right at 0 in the garage and the truck started right up.

Ya, by comparison mine started right up at -4F this morning, but yesterday at -18F it was slow cranking and took a bit to fire. I just had a fresh oil change a few days earlier at the Ford dealership so the oil is as thick as it can possibly be.
