Silly question
So my buddy and I are sitting here drinking a beer discussing the different types of internal combustion engines...being that the typical O2% in ambient air is 21 how come drag cars and diesels alike don't run straight O2 tanks to increase power? We are two goof ***** interested in how stuff works :-). Who needs air filters other than is it just a cost based scenario?

^^ I disagree, look at nitrous tanks, hundreds of horsepower for a few pounds of equipment.
Nitro Methane is a very highly oxygenated fuel to begin with so in a sense there are getting a lot more O2 than in the ambient air.
