I have an 07 5.4 with this code. I have an aftermarket air filter. internet says the oil in filter can ruin a MAF sensor or it could be an O2 sensor going bad. I don't have access to a fancy scanner.
Which should I gamble my money on first? Both are expensive little buggers. I've use MAF cleaner twice, no change.
When a check engine light goes on and the part is then replaced, must I use a scanner to turn off the light or will my truck know it's fixed and turn it off?
