I would love to trade up, but it just doesn't make sense financially for me to do it. I'm happy with the 2011 and it more than gets the job done. I am probably more in line for a 2018. Unless something changes drastically, I will only have less than 150,000 miles by then.
I certainly wouldn't be afraid of the changes making it a "first year truck". If I was in the market, it would definitely be for a 15!
I wouldn't be afraid of a 1st model year of anything. My truck and wheeler are currently and it's just what you have to do to have the most up to date technology. While I understand the '15 is going through some changes, it isn't truly a new model. It's just an improved model of the truck. This is the best of the best in my opinion. Ford is applying what they learned on the '11s thru '14s and applying it on the '15s. It will be better and improved for sure. I'd love to go this route, but like I said, I'm kind of "done" upgrading and getting my truck the way I want it. Now, I'm enjoying it and driving the crap out of it. I'm just not in the market for a truck with mine running as good as it is and putting a smile on my face.
lol...all good points of view.. damn SENIX I miss your knowledge in the 6.4 section...never anything good there now.. it's always is hs better then Spartan.. or guys lieing about mpg.. I really been thinking about a '15.. but as a few others said.. I got my truck where I want it..and love driving it!
To the OP: The 2014 P L A T I N U M is a great truck at a great price. Since it doesn't look like the exterior is changing, you are down to how you feel about the engine changes.
I'd wager that the extra 50, 75 or 100 lb-ft (I'm guessing here) Ford has in stock for the 2015 trucks will scarcely be felt. Meanwhile, you have the option to get a $65k truck for $10k off in front of you. My vote is on the 2014.
