Can someone help me out with what size is the pin that goes into the class V receiver and ball mount to lock it in? Think it's 5/8 but I'm not sure. Thanks
A regular hitch pin 5/8" x 4" is the best bet. I hate those stupid little bent pins that come with hitches. Wagon hitch pins like those found at Tractor Supply are usually stronger than a regular receiver pin also.

If the hitch is working properly that stupid little bent pin should not see any real stress on it.

I was referring to the bent nature of the end of the pin rather than having a head or a handle on the end. It isn't about stress bending the pin, it is about the convenience of actually having something to get a hold on to remove the pin.

Also drill out the hole in the new pin and use a nice big retainer clip that u can put in and out easily even if it is dark or cold Etc.

It uses the standard hitch pin clip but doesn't have the hole in the pin. The end of the pin has a groove about a 1/4" from the end and the clip goes around that. First time I've seen that.
That hitch reducer is a pain in the neck. My hitch is 2" and I have to fiddle with that reducer to get the hole lined up.

Bobbykjl , You can buy the bigger hitch to go in the receiver and toss the adaptor under the bench !!
