What heads are you running? I will be using the 35-510-8 when my gt40s are done. Lots of people have used it with good success. If you want to know about the 35-349-8 cam phone comp. I wouldn't use it because the operating range is too high. Doesn't matter which cam use choose you will also need matching springs. Don't worry about cleaning the manifold just make sure all of the vacuum passages are clear...it will be dirty in short order if you clean it. And do not clean the throttle body!

Stock E7 heads LOL, minor work on them... yea the operating range is pretty high but I don't drive slow or accelerate slow by any means. I drive it like a sports car. I hold gears by shifting manually as well so I am always in the power band. Some guy here runs the cam and says its fine but he has major work done to the heads. Conanski says the E7 heads accept .500 lift and that's about where they stop flowing but I want a cam that lets me have room for future improvement like bigger heads.

Well the cam may allow for more improvement in the future, but lift over .500 probably isn't good for the E7's heads. Maybe with tougher springs they would be ok, but I can't say for certain.

I think i'ma go with the comp cams 35-512-8, just to stay in spec with the speed density. I heard its still a hard puller and it has a tad bit better specs than the flat tappet I had gotten by mistake and that one said range of 1000-5200RPM so I'm sure the 35-512-8 is better suited for a truck either way and will still be a vast improvement over the small cam originally on my 93! Thanks Guys!
