Ok, 2 things.

1 - you need a new steering stabilizer. You can get a good rancho or skyjacker for fairly cheap.

2- Replace the swaybar links and bushings, this will help reduce hop, chatter, and sway.

While your under there check all bushings, make sure they are good and firm, use a pry bar for this.

The steering stabilizer alone will probably fix your problem. And the binding while in 4x4 is normal. Mine will do the same thing in 4x4 at full lock, really bad on pavement.
