I'm getting a wobble when I'm driving my truck at freeway speeds while turning left like going southbound 680 onto southbound 101 on top of the overpass here in San Jose. It's scary like hell when it does it especially 90ft up off the ground...it's a long way down!!!
It seems I need a new steering stabilizer. So I've been looking at some Bilsteins and Ranchos. I already have Rancho 9000's on all 4, so I guess it would probably make sense to get another Rancho
Ranchos stabilizers come in 2 flavors. RS5000 and RS7000. What's the difference other than price? Is there any noticeable difference in steering?
I'm completely stock, so I guess only a single is needed?
I had the wobble too... Jumped the gun and put a Rancho Dual SS on and it didn't fix it 100%. Had Ford put on a new Trac bar and a ball joint or two and it was fixed. Still have the Dual SS on.
I had terrible wobble when I first got my truck with 110K miles on it. Lifted 6" and running 35's. Replaced everything under the front end as it wasn't that bad ($1200) and drives nice and straight now. I know a lot will say find the real problem and just fix that but with mine I have no real idea on how the truck was treated before so for peace of mind I just replaced it all.
