Cylinder contribution test

I got my scan gauge back and working and tried a contribution test and I'm getting a po113 and po603 code i looked up the code and
The po113 is a air intake code and the po603 is a kam code but I got no Idea what they mean. Any ideas? Thanks

You've pulled the battery at some time in the past. Clear the codes and start over.

You can unplug a lot of things...the PCM still expects to see that sensor hence the code. Most folks leave the sensor plugged in and tie it off somewhere near the air filter element...

Ok so been doing some reading and from what I have discovered is the 94-97 contribution test you can hear and feel the cylinders cut out. On the. 99 and up its a silent test. I'm use to wrenching on the obs so that why I figured the test didn't work. I find it odd the a truck with 378k miles passed both the buzz and cct.

Its not odd at all. These engines are well known for running like swiss watches for 500+ k miles.

Mine is at 414k miles still ticking along with 4 of her factory injectors. Granted... its time to replace them... but she starts up in 30* mornings like a champ.

I just figured that the injectors would not be balanced with that many miles. I was gonna use a failed comtribution test to talk myself into some sticks but that didn't work so now I gotta find another way to justify them

My truck was running fine with a mish-mash of original and remanned injectors from the previous owner. I wanted the upgrade, I could afford it, so I did it.

Dude, it's Christmas time. You can justify anything. Although my Mom told me years ago that she would no longer honor requests for car parts. :-(

If I remember right my tests have never been silent. I'm pretty sure I can hear them cut out. Not 100% but pretty sure.

..because neither a "buzz test" or "contribution test" have a whole lot to do with how "balanced" the injectors are.

A CCT while recording the cylinder rotational velocity on each cylinder can show how balanced the injectors are at idle, but not at cruise.
