Had the codes pulled on my 95 today and this one showed up....<DTC P0113 IAT SENSOR 1 CIRCUIT HIGH INPUT>. Could it have anything to do with the 10k mod? What is the IAT sensor?
Boy oh boy ,what a dummy I am! I could have sworn I listed the code! Oh well, it's dtc p0113 IAT Sensor 1 Circuit High Input. Intake air temp sounds like it might be it but I really don't remember seeing anything like that when I removed the stock air box and put my homemade tymar on. Just remember the dirty filter indicator.
Hey guys, I just figured out what happened to the other post where the code didn't show up. I put the code inside some of those little pointy brackets at the bottom right of the keyboard. Apparently that's a no-no, probably HTML computer language. That makes me feel a little better. Thought I was really losing it.
I have that code listed as:
P0113 Intake Air Temp Circuit High Input.
I don't know what this means, though.
10k mod -I've looked on here for a reference to that, but never did figure out exactly what that was, so I'd have NO idea if it was a factor.
Thanks NightBiker. I'm gonna have to dig a little deeper to see if I can find that sensor. I tried to do a search on the 10k mod so I could pass it on to you but I guess I don't know how cause it didn't work. I'm sure one of these other guys can point you to the "How to". It's a cheap mod that gives your truck a little extra kick.
if you did a tymar type intake and did not do anything with the sensor than it could be broken off or hanging down some where that it is really heating up. you need to find it. the best thing to do would be to drill a hole somewhere in you intake and remount it. it looks like a matchstick head with a bracket around it.
