was wondering if any of you would be able to help me diagnose an issue I ahve been having very recently. Turbo seems to be sluggish moe so when the truck is first started and boost gauge doesnt go above 10 psi boost even about 2000 rpm. truck has ATS standard turbo and replaced the connector comming from the module that connects to the negative connector of the battery( has happened to me in the past). Drove the truck home last night from work and it seemed to loose power, come back on, loose power come back, never saw any lights but again the turbo gauge would not go over 10 psi of boost. Is it possible that the vacuum pump maybe on its way out and causing me to loose pressure? any feed back would be helpful!
ok so truck is 2003 F350 6.0 132000 miles, ATS 3000 turbo 3" exhaust from turbo back, no cat, sinister diesel intake elbow, S&B intake filter. no tuner
Ok, so here is something else that maybe someone might be able to help me with. Does anyone seem to think that it could be the fuel geling casue it seems to be more often when the truck is cold and after it warms up driving for 5 to 10 miles it seems to be better. was readin on another forum and it sounds like it could be a posibility. I was using Howes injector lube but recently ran out last week, should I use a different antigel to try and clean the water out? havent check the filters yet
fuel is a possibility, What is the temp when this is happening ? also what are you using for fuel straight number 2 or mixing in some number 1 ?
Its been cold lately around freezing during the day and 20'S at night. I run whatever diesel fuel I get at the local pumps 40 cetane, sometimes biodiesel but thats far between
With those temps you don't really have to worry about the fuel gelling. It doesn't seam like to many others are chiming in on this thread, You might get more help if you repost this question in the 6.0 diesel forum. Maybe a Mod can move this for you..
