I think that is one of those form letters they stick in all their parts to cut down costs. The damper was only 78 bucks. Ford racing sells the spacers for 30 bucks each. The cut sheet says they include four different sizes. I cant imagine summit taking that kind of bath on profit. They are cheaper than ford parts, but thats near 120 dollars they would be giving away.
Im probably going to just measure the stock one with the pulley and then measure the new damper and do the math.
Ford racing is just that, I had no trouble finding the same spacers for as low as 19 bucks and no doubt cheaper if looked harder.
One I linked to states it includes the spacer kit but I get the idea its by "application" so kit doesn't include all spacers, say in your case both possibles and maybe just the correct one.
Those spacers a CNC machine turns them out by the bucket load, just can't see them costing much to produce material/time wise so doesn't add a lot doing volume.
Anyway yea at this point best bet take quick measurement figure out which one you need then order one.
I suggested hitting up the manufacture they'd probably send you one for free if you let them know the kit was missing. Same time might just blow you off too, never can tell but its the squeaky wheel that gets the grease.
