I just recently installed a lift on my truck and noticed that my steering wheel is not straight anymore. In the instructions it says that I need to entend the drag ling, aka steeering arm, but doesnt show a picture of this. I kinda have an idea where it is but 100% sure. Does anyone have a picture that shows where I need to make the adjustments?
There should be two bars that come from the frame-area of the truck and connect down at passenger side of the axle. One is the track bar, which is not adjustable, and the other is the drag link which you will need to extend. There are two bolts on it that you loosen and then you turn the threaded piece to extend it. It will probably be pretty seized up and hard to turn (mainly because its so hard to get a grip on). My friend and I messed with it for about an hour and barely got it to move, we gave up and took it to an alignment shop. Maybe you will have better luck than we did.
thanks guys, I think I got it figured out now. FYI I have a 4" lift but the kit came with spacers to put under the pitman arm. Thanks GregsSD for the pic.
