You still have to carve it out of that wrecked mess. Then you have to deal with getting rid of the carcass. Not worth it IMO.
Once you retrieve the parts you need out of it you can call the local salvage yard and they will come and pick it up for scrap steel. Or at least they will where i live.

I realize that but you still have to move the wreck around to get the motor and transmission out as well as carve out parts of it. Not worth it.

It can be quite worth it.
It may just come down to do you have the time, space and interest to
get into this type of recovery.
Hey Guzzo, glad you made it through that without major injury! Looks like it was quite a ride . I can understand some of the feelings you're having (been in a similar situation). Cool thing is, you don't have to let it bother you, your purpose will resolve it's self with Gods help .
On the practical side, lots of good info here already, and it may be a good time to upgrade!
Hey there Guzzo Hope your feeling a tad better, I know you mentioned youn were a little banged up from everything. I just thought I would check on you and see how you were doing personally and whether your still thinking of buying your rig back from them and if they gave you an indication on the price to buy it back. Keep us updated when you can.
You do want to make a point of the mods to the adjuster. Most insurance will cover the replacement or value of installed accessories on a vehicle. If you had aftermarket wheels/ tires you have a right to be compensated for them. Same goes for brush guards, vent shades, tool box, bed liner (sprayed in or drop in). I am glad to see you made it thru that it looks like one heck of a ride you took. Any receipts you have can be if help but shouldn't be necessary if the accessories or what's left of them are still on the truck. Be pleasant with the ins. Company but get what you deserve for the equipment in the truck.
It may be different based on state law. I know the $5k in bills to get pain and suffering is a state law and not the case in Ok. It sounds like some have had a better experience than mine. My accident was not my fault and the other driver was insured. I still went through my own insurance and then they recouped the money from the other company. They had no reason to lowball or deceive me. In any case, let us know how it goes. Another thing to watch out for is the rental. Most policies have rental coverage for X days after an offer is MADE, not accepted. You may have 30 days coverage, but it could actually only be 10 on a total loss once they make an offer.
