Didn't know it would take this long to be able to post back with the answer to what was going on and honestly I can't believe the answer if I didn't find it myself...
Somehow the nut that holds the bracket that holds the battery cable going down to the starter fell off and allowed the cable to fall in front of the vacuum pump pulley and my guess at this point is when I gave the truck throttle the cable was pushed into the pulley and somehow without catching fire my pulley ate all the way through!!!!
I only figured this out because one day suddenly my truck wouldn't start all I would get is a click and I thought it was the starter I had the new starter in and was hooking the battery cables back up and suddenly sparks and that was definitely the problem!
I am definitely glad the ol girl didn't burn next to my kids this truck is a family member to me... And now that I have my 85 and I get it up to par my 86 is getting a full frame off restoration and build upgrade
I drive big rigs for work and we have to perform pretrip inspections every day, you never know what you will find, once I stopped for lunch, no problems, fired her back up, and the AC compressor had, seized, and before I could turn the key off it burnt the belt in half. Things bust, bend, over heat. corrode, fray, vibrate louse and fall off, that's why airplane bolts are safety wired.
