I have a 76 150 4x4.Iam doing the hydro boost brake up grade and using a 2001 f350 booster. What master cylinder should i use with rear drums.May convert to disk in the future, but for now its drums. my brake lines are facing motor side .I Think there a lot of options .thank you
yea, i'm with montana highboy. i've driven hydroboost trucks, and they have some funky behavior as well as adding a lot of complexity to the hydraulic system. to be honest, you need to run a disc/drum master with your current setup. discs take a lot more fluid volume so if you run a disc/disc master your braking balance will be all wrong.
I can confidently say after replacing the master cylinder, lines, eliminating the factory prop valve, and adding a **** style valve, my brakes are beyond dialed. firm pedal, minimal effort and it stops on a dime. my other car's a cooper s, and my standards for braking performance are pretty high.
It maybe over rated, but iam into it now my vacuum booster needs replaced so hydro boost seem the way to go.I have the saginaw pump cvf bracket and pulley the hydro unit so its going hydro I just want to what disk and drum master cylinder that will fit the 2001 hydro boost with lines on the motor side and the right bore
