Ok I have a little problem with people not finishing their threads. You know that problem you have with your vehicle that someone else has and you read the post and the person doesn't finish? Yeah that issue! So there you are having an issue and you search and BAM, you see others having the same issue. You read down the thread and NOTHIN. People telling the person to check this and that and some how there's no solution (which we know there was) or better yet the tread turns into chat about grandma or something completely unrelated. Look I love my grandma, but auto forums are not the place to discuss dads corns or grandmas hip replacement. JUST TELL US WHAT THE FIX IS!!!! Thanks for allowing me to rant. Happy solutionless forum reading.
I gave up on the tech forums due to too much fluff & parroting post ***** s . Leaving treads unsolved is not a problem for me , I don't need much help . The off topic crap is a pain. It makes for a friendly site , but not much help for those that really need it .
I understand the OPs comment about: knowing the out come of a problem and how the solution solved the problem. I understand what he implies with the off topic remarks, but this is where I say rethink that position. First off each post keeps the thread alive and at the forefront. Secondly what makes this site is the bantering. We are owners of the 6.0 (I say this tongue in cheek and in no way to offend anyone) therefore we are going to be characters with interesting personalities and that will come through in the post. It keeps the forum from becoming a dull technical read. I think some people come here at their wits end on dealing with their trucks problem and when it gets fixed they are elated and go on their way. Its the old timers with numerous fixit post that wait on the questions and patiently answer the same question asked a different way for the umpteenth time, if they go off topic a bit so be it.

“If you took one-tenth the energy you put into complaining and applied it to solving the problem, you'd be surprised by how well things can work out... Complaining does not work as a strategy. We all have finite time and energy. Any time we spend whining is unlikely to help us achieve our goals. And it won't make us happier.”
